Made in the classic Hunter Valley style. Medium bodied showing great character and length of flavour. Use of some new oak and bottling early helps to maintain the intense fruit flavours of red berries and spice.
Aromas of plum and blackberries with subtle hints of spice. Mulberry and blackberry flavours on the palate with complex nuances of liquorice, spice and balanced oak. Supported by fine supple tannins, with a long generous finish.
Our 2016 Cabernet Sauvignon shows lovely aromas of cassis and black cherries with hints of spice and sweet herbs. The palate is medium bodied with flavours of blackberry fruit balanced with fine ripe tannins.
The 2017 Velvet Shiraz offers fully ripe fruit with optimum flavour and sweetness. A vibrant purple colour, it provides alluring aromas of sour cherry and dark chocolate. Flavours of mulberry and plum pudding are balanced with soft tannins and lingering berry fruits, making the Shiraz a rich round wine.
